YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE INTERNET. THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO SEE. PLEASE GO BACK. NOW.

So, basically...this journal is partially friends-only. Most of my stuff is public, but anything that's really deep or personal is friends-only. I am also not disclosing any personal information about myself in public entries out of sheer paranoia. (It's not that I think people will stalk me or anything. But I've heard stories about people who got fired over their blogs and stuff, so that worries me a bit.) In fact, the name you see on the sidebar there? That's not my real name. I also am using fake names for some of my friends, just to protect them.

But don't let me seem like some kind of paranoid freak. I'm actually a well-to-do person. I like reading other people's entries and commenting on them. I hope people enjoy the things that I have to say, whether they be cute little stories or deep, personal meanderings on life, the universe, and everything. If you want to be my friend, by all means, comment here and ask me about it. =D

Oh god. So has gone on in the past few weeks, I'm not sure what to talk about first. I'm thoroughly exhausted.

Okay, well, first of all...after two years of having our house, my father and I finally got a potential buyer. It turns out the guy is a sportscaster for the New England Patriots, which I think is really cool (even though I don't follow football that much - I'm more of a Red Sox guy). The only problem is that the price he's offered is a lot lower than what we expected, and he also asked for a lot of our furniture to be included. Basically, he's getting a steal for the house, and my dad is pissed because he doesn't appear grateful enough. So since we got the offer, we've been spending much of our time packing, looking at apartments, packing, doing more showings in an effort to scare the guy into raising his offer, packing, dealing with the realtors, and packing. Did I mention that school starts on Tuesday, and I'm moving in on Monday?

But it's all good, really. Right now my dad and I have been trying hard to keep our heads above water. I visited Alejandro yesterday, and we hung out with his girlfriend and his family, whom I got to meet for the first time. They're all really nice people. We ended up performing for them together - we played this song in Spanish, and I sang backup. Everybody was wicked impressed with us! His sister said I became an "honorary Latino" for doing that, haha. It was great to see everybody and to see Alejandro after all this time. After we left, I put on this Beatles mix CD I made for my dad and we belted out Beatles songs all the way home.

Noel Gallagher quit Oasis. Again.

Oasis are one of my favorite bands. I'm shocked to see them go like this...even though Noel's done this before. Fuck.

Now I'm blasting The Masterplan and remembering the great band they once were.

This week has been very weird for me. I'm still recovering from my cold, or whatever the hell it is that I have. I just get sore throats from time to time, and it hurts to swallow. I hope it's not strep throat.

There have been a few more clients coming over, looking at the house, as well. Normally I can't stand to see these fucking people because they really don't want to see me there and most of the time they don't even bother to smile or shake hands or do anything more than acknowledge your existence. But today this nice family came over...they have three cute kids, and the parents actually bothered to say hi and shake hands with us. I wouldn't feel bad about them buying the house.

Oh, I also went to Guitar Center and bought a harmonica holder/rack today! Now I can play guitar and harmonica at the same time, like Bob Dylan and Neil Young. I've been working on some folky, acoustic songs that would sound good with some harmonica accompaniment. It'll also spice up my live shows a bit, I think. You get some guy with an acoustic guitar, and it's not all that special, but if he's got a harmonica attached to his neck he's suddenly a troubadour. At least, that's what I hope people will think, haha.

I'm going to see my uncle this weekend...I feel kind of awkward about it, because I haven't talked to him in a long time, and really, I don't know what to say to him. "I'm sorry"? "Get well soon"? "You can beat this"? Everything seems tired and worn-out now...I really just want him to be okay.

So I'm seeing this band tomorrow. They had a few hits in the 90's, and I think one of their songs was on a TV show or something. Apparently the band members like to smoke marijuana.

Their name is Green Day. You may have heard of them.

Okay, I know this is totally random, but WHAT THE FUCK is up with that little button next to the "location" feature when you're posting an entry on LiveJournal?

Apparently, it's convenient to have LJ and Google know where you are at any given moment. As if you don't already know where you are for most of the day anyway. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I'd prefer it if the Internet didn't know where I am, what I'm doing, and what I'm thinking at any given moment.

Big Brother is watching you.

Kerry ([info]stoleallhearts) gave me this set of questions to answer, so here you go. =)

1. Whats the first Beatles Song you fell in love with?
It's really hard to say...considering I've listened to the Beatles since I was a child, haha. I guess I kind of dug the moptop stuff like A Hard Day's Night, She Loves You, etc. but the first Beatles song I really fell in love with was Here Comes the Sun. I first heard that when I was about ten, and I still love it today. It's timeless.

2. Where's your most favourite place in the whole wide world?
I'd like to mention all the places I've traveled in the past... New York, London, Toronto, etc. But I think my favorite place to go, out of all of them, is Boston. I've heard all the complaints before...it snows way too much, the traffic is ungodly, the people are assholes. But I love it, and I don't think I've ever had a bad experience there. (Maybe I just haven't gone enough. Haha.) It's amazing how so many things are close by...you can literally walk from Fenway to Harvard Square, or down to the Boston Harbor. I've also seen so many great concerts there as well...everyone from a folk singer from Cambridge to The Police! It's just an unbelievably gorgeous and classic city, in my opinion.

3. Did you like 21 century breakdown? Whats the worst track off the album?
I loved it! In fact, I wrote a long, gushing review for it on a music-related message board I go to a lot. I think it's a fantastic album, not just for Green Day fans, but for everyone. Probably my favorite album of the year, actually. I don't think any of the tracks were really bad per se, but I think my least favorite of them was Mass Hysteria, the first part of American Eulogy. It's just a very annoying track, and the verse melody comes right from another Green Day song (Deadbeat Holiday, off of Warning, in case you were wondering).

4. What do you miss most about High School?
Well, I'd like to say "nothing". But I think I'd just be kidding myself. I think more than anything, I miss my friends there. I had a really close-knit group of friends that I'd see almost every weekend, and we have so many memories together. But in a few months, I won't really be able to see them all that much. One of my friends is going to college in New Hampshire, another one is moving to Florida, and another one is joining the Marines and is going to boot camp in South Carolina. I also miss some of the people I would hang out at lunch with. Most of them are still in high school, and I saw a few of them last weekend, but it wasn't quite the same.

5. Name one band, artist, person you think is a "sell-out"..

Ozzy. I don't think I need to elaborate on this.

If you want, you can ask me for 5 questions, and you just put the answers on your profile saying who they are from.
